Carlos’s Tip # 143: There is one quality which one must possess to win, and is…

There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.

You can be a master rower, a novice, college rower, high school rower or a rower looking to win the olympics. Everyone of them needs to win a crazy desire for it.
Technique, intensity, focus, quality, sacrifices of life, determination, and more are totally conditioned by how much you want to win.
To win you need talent and a system. When you have both you just need to want it more than your rivals. If you do you will work harder and better and will win.
If you are training and don’t have a burning desire to win, stop and fix that because without that you will never be the best you can be and never win difficult races, no matter how hard you train.

Love rowing and after that love to win!
