Carlos Dinares Tip #355: How AMAZING is to get a GOOD ROW

I talk to a lot of people and I always learn something from everyone. Every person is different and has different goals and motivations. I read a lot about what people have to say and listen to many interesting people that are motivated to live a good and meaningful life.
I was born in Barcelona and my parents, sisters and friends from my youth are all there. I’ve been in Spain for 30 years of my life. I got my education on a French school in Barcelona. I was educated at home as a spanish kid and at school as a french kid. I moved to the USA 8 years ago and since then I’m learning about America and Americans.

After experiencing the European and American culture, now I can assure that these 2 cultures are very different. I don’t think there is one better than the other, both have amazing things and bad things and both are complementary. I just feel so rich by having the chance to fully experience both and learn from everywhere. The interesting thing about rowing is that we all want to go fast and row the boat the best we can. It doesn’t matter if you are European or American, going fast is a question of speed and no flags.
My point here is that Rowing is Universal and whatever country you come from, culture, religion or flag, we all can enjoy a good day of rowing, a good workout that keep us happy and healthy.

Rowing on a flat day moving all together with the other crew members and exercising our body is one of the most amazing things one can do. It doesn’t matter what language you speak, we all enjoy the same flow and feel and perfection of a good row. The pleasure of taking care of ourselves, enjoying our body and exercising is so important and help us to keep happy and healthy. At the end we all know that the only thing that we carry on all our life until our last day is our body. It does make sense to take care of our body and brain as much as we can.

If you row, just keep doing it because if you stop you will regret it. If you don’t row anymore or haven’t rowed before, just pick it up and learn to do it right from the first day. Rowing well is an amazing feel and to get there you need good coaching and hours of good practice. The good feel you get from rowing is like the good feel cross country skiers or skaters get. Just good and effortless gliding and flowing…
